Is there a method to a clean house?

For example cleaning that needs to be weekly, change bedding, hoover, mop, dust, clean bathrooms.

Then monthly such as oven clean, skirtings etc? Or is that quarterly haha!

I feel as if there is so much to do. Honestly I've not done the skirtings, properly with soap and water in about a year!

Don't even get me started on jobs like, behind the sofa clean, kitchen cupboards.

Maybe Mrs Hinch has a method in her book? I just need some sort of way to keep on top of it, instead of leaving the bigger jobs and then having to do an epic clean every 6 months or so.

I have never washed a skirting board in my life and yet somehow the world keeps turning. Seriously, life's too short!

I do my skirting boards occasionally because they get scuffed, especially the ones in doorways. I also think that vacuuming only goes some of the way for dusting surfaces and furniture, because it lifts dust but not greasy marks, finger prints, dried liquids etc so a wipe down with a soap solution or cleaning agent is needed at least sometimes. It also doesn't make things shine; if i've gone to the effort of claening I want it to look good!

I only clean skirting boards and inside cupboards when I move house.
