Anyone up? Is this appendicitis?

I will be calling the GP as soon as they open, 2hrs 53mins and counting.
I started with terrible indigestion yesterday around 3pm. This turned into stomach ache at 5pm. Now it's feels like a bad stitch, or pulled muscle, to the right of my belly button and I've been awake a few hours. I think the pain woke me as rolling over really bloody hurts.
Breathing hurts a bit too and I feel queasy. Any thoughts or just a hand hold? It's just me here with little DC.

@ISeeTrees, I was asking because DC2 went on with pain before Christmas but sent home because it subsided.
In May same thing happened again. Sent home as apparently a UTI (traces of blood in urine).
Ended up going back the next day and was finally scanned - admitted straight away and put down as urgent for appendectomy.

So you know for the future, if it's appendicitis the pain moves down and to the right. I successfully diagnosed my husnband when he had it - I was very smug as he did''t beleive me.

ISeeTrees · 27/07/2022 10:05

@vipersnest1 I had traces of blood too but nothing further was mentioned about that. I've read that apparently you can have a "grumbling appendix" which I gather means it can flare then subside- could explain dc2?
Thanks @Hersetta427 it started quite centrally and high and has moved down and is just on the right. When the Dr examined me she said the pain was in the right place for it but CT scan was normal.
I haven't a clue what's going on. I just feel very sore and quite sick with the pain and I can't bring myself to eat anything.

@ISeeTrees, yes, that was what it was.
It's a possibility for you too.

My DH has grumbling appendix, he gets it if he eats small pips on things like strawberries.

HopelesslyHopeful87 · 27/07/2022 10:46

Could you have an ovarian cyst? I had one that ruptured and it was agony and was originally thought to be my appendix.

ISeeTrees · 27/07/2022 14:03

It was suggested @HopelesslyHopeful87 but wasn't taken any further?! I was given the option of CT scan or ultrasound. At the time I was worried it was appendix so opted for CT to rule that out. I'm starting to feel a bit fobbed off actually. It isn't any worse, which I am taking as a good thing, but it isn't any better either.
Forced down some chicken soup so there's at least something in my tummy.

You poor thing. Gp thought my appendix but scan showed a complex cyst. But mine come and go. Hope u ok. Your symptoms were like mine

ISeeTrees · 01/08/2022 18:36

I just wanted to update here. Despite many many tests, I'm no closer to knowing what on earth is the matter.
I've been back to the GP twice, had a full gynae exam (said she didn't think it was anything reproductive related) and obviously had all those tests at the hospital.
So all I know is: there's trace amounts of blood in my urine. My white blood count is slightly raised. I feel sick, no appetite, and the pain is a mix of indigestion/period pain. Still predominantly in my right side but not as acute as it was.

Either OR?

bloody hell. I'd have said BOTH.

I think you need to be very forceful. Tell them you aren't the Dr, but you're the one in pain & they need to find out why!!

im sorry you're still suffering, it's difficult to push for YOURSELF! Do you have a partner, adult child that are a force to be reckoned with??

ISeeTrees · 02/08/2022 10:14

It doesn't feel "severe" enough to warrant me kicking up a fuss, just like an ache, along with the nausea.
Annoyingly I'm usually the force to be reckoned with, I have been to appointments with others that have struggled to advocate for themselves, I'm not sure what went wrong last week and why I didn't push to have the ultrasound after the CT was clear.
I know I was feeling very vulnerable and a bit frightened which sounds ridiculous written down.
