Somewhere safe to travel next summer with 2 DC

I'm strongly thinking of going abroad next summer as dh can't go. I have travelled alone a lot prior to DC (south America Spain etc )

I was thinking of northern Spain. I won't have a car with me. I can travel in June or early July. Can't really afford 2 or 3 grand.

Any suggestions and have a lovely weekend

Exciting for kids go on the ferry and very safe indeed.

Old fashioned in a charming way.

Have you considered a train journey - London, Brussels, Netherlands? We went to some beaches there and they were fabulous.

Croatia is lovely too.
