I ran the stained part under cold water and the stain faded a little but it is not completely out.

Does anyone know how to get the stain out completely? thanks

Cold salty water?

Ariel washing powder is brilliant at getting blood stains out.

Try a special stain spray, like vanish Asda oxy

Soak it in biological washing powder or liquid

Cold salty water.

Unless you've already set the stain by using hot water (which you should never do as blood is a protein), it'll work wonders.

Bicarbonate of soda? Make a paste, leave it to do its thing for a while and then rinse?

Vanish stain removal. Or submerge in a bowl of water and bleach

Soak in bio washing powder. Works on well on my CSP.

Another vote for salt here.

Hopefully it hasnt dried out or been put in hot water yet.

Put the affected bit (still wet with cold water) down flat on a worktop or something and then get salt and pour a pile of it on the stain. You can stand there and see the bloody water soak up the salt pile. Quite satisfying! Keep repeating till gone/almost gone.

Then cool wash with vanish.

hang it out in the sun . That worked on the remains of a blood stain on one of my white sheets .

This removes blood stains with zero effort. Might need two goes if older stain.
Poor over the stain then wash as normal

My daughter has really heavy periods and I’ve found the best thing is fairy washing up liquid rubbed into the stain, then normal wash.

Spanielsarepainless · 23/07/2022 18:09

Vanish Oxy spray. The foam goes a satisfying thick texture as it reacts with the blood.

thanks everyone. I tried cold water with salt rubbed into it because I didn't have the stain remover things and then I rubbed some washing up liquid into the stain and the stain is out 😀

Don't try. Just paint a picture of a shark on the cozzie and imply it was from a shark bite 😁

Soak overnight in COLD Ariel biological powder. This has never failed to remove blood, grass or oil stains in 40 years of using it, washing for 3 daughters who all had the probs associated with heavy periods. Ariel the only wash powder I consider irreplaceable.
