I've name changed as I'm sure when word gets round it will be very outing. We will use "pom bears" as a term of reference for how long I've been here 😂

A large bear has appeared in my brother in laws drive. In his parking space.

Very handsome, but very large 😂

No idea who dropped him off. Or even how I missed him being dropped off. (We face his drive). 😂😂😂😂

Are there any woods nearby for when a call of nature is needed by him?

We have a winner 😀

Maybe we will then find out the answer to the age old question….do bears 💩in the woods?

Having seen your diagramme, I'm not sure it's going to work as a tourist attraction DBIL. Where are people going to park? Over your drive, that's where! Something Must Be Done.

LurpakAspirations · 21/07/2022 18:21

Billy looks stoned as f*

SpiderVersed · 21/07/2022 18:26

Can't believe no one has mentioned "Knock knock, Motherfucker" yet.

Ah, recollection of the phrase "Pom bear, anyone...?" never fails to raise a smile.

Greetings to Billy. I hope he behaves himself.

Watch out for The Hare pitching up in a camper-van in a few days' time (not Christmas yet, but just saying...) 😉

The garden centre beginning with H is in a village beginning with P ☺️

T-Rex in Norwich but advertised as being run alongside the Dippy exhibit visiting so can see why you thought that.
Owls in Ipswich
Pigs in Eye

East Anglia is weirdly obsessed with doing them!

We’ve had owls, pigs and elephants! They are very popular.

On closer inspection he's quite a bit creepy. His eyes either have reflectors in them or are painted a very light colour. I can see him watching me from my house 😨

Ooo sounds a bit like a serial killer did it, like ..Hhmm can't remember the film ... perhaps silence is the lambs - wheee serial killer replaces eyes with bits of mirror

quirkychick · 21/07/2022 18:41

Norwich is T-Rex part 2 (following on from part 1 last year) and mammoths. The shiny bronze one looked positively painful in the heatwave!

The bear is hilarious, btw.

My dad won a 6ft cuddly toy gorilla at his works Christmas party one year. We donated it to the children's ward at the local hospital.

Not sure a children's ward would want Billy, he's a bit scary looking 🤣

Thefriendlymoth · 21/07/2022 19:04

This is amazing, i bet your BIL can bear-ly believe it! (Sorry)

REP22 · 21/07/2022 19:20

BIL-ly... 😃

Is the new arrival definitely a "he"? I can't see a "little Billy" (not that I've looked too hard) 😉

You wouldn’t inflict that monstrosity on poorly kids.

This is why I could never leave MN.
The gem amongst all the crap.

Wafflehouse · 21/07/2022 19:33

Our local garden centre has one of these also begins with an H but in a town/city beginning with B.

Why do so many garden centres have these bears?

Figgygal · 21/07/2022 19:36

That certainly is a big bear lol

HerRoyalHappiness · 21/07/2022 19:40

I love this thread and the creepy bear

Actually, that might be the reason he's not happy... He's a eunuch. And a bare bear at that...

PragmaticWench · 21/07/2022 19:52

I'm just wondering...HOW?! How was an eight foot plus bear moved on the roads, without anyone seeing?

What was that old film with the dinosaur skeleton on the back of a lorry, careering around the streets, from the 80s?
