I've name changed as I'm sure when word gets round it will be very outing. We will use "pom bears" as a term of reference for how long I've been here 😂

A large bear has appeared in my brother in laws drive. In his parking space.

Very handsome, but very large 😂

No idea who dropped him off. Or even how I missed him being dropped off. (We face his drive). 😂😂😂😂

I would love to find a large bear statue in my garden or drive or any other creature really.

Singleandproud · 21/07/2022 17:42

Do the garden centre have a twitter account you can tweet and see if they've lost a bear 🐻

@corvusPurpureus Norwich do a different animal trail every year, diplodocus this year I think but not certain.

Most cities have those types of trails for a few years now. We’ve had them, giraffes, elephants etc. All sponsored by local businesses and then auctioned off for a local charity at the end of the month or whatever the time period is.

50mg · 21/07/2022 17:43

So BIL wasn't expecting Billy?

LynneBenfield · 21/07/2022 17:44

You’d think it’d be all over the local news by now, if he had come from the garden centre. That sort of thing would be considered juicy BREAKING NEWS by my local rag

balalake · 21/07/2022 17:45

Are there any woods nearby for when a call of nature is needed by him?

T-Rex in Norwich but advertised as being run alongside the Dippy exhibit visiting so can see why you thought that.
Owls in Ipswich
Pigs in Eye

East Anglia is weirdly obsessed with doing them!

Brilliant! What did your BIL say?

WinterMusings · 21/07/2022 17:46

I'm sure I've seen him before too! I live in the SE (north Hampshire) but I've been to Garden Centres all over. I wouldn't know where to start looking for a photo in my 50,000 photos, without knowing where he usually lives.

what's he having for his tea?

Soubriquet · 21/07/2022 17:46

Ok I think you need to ring the Garden Centre and ask if their bear has gone for a walk, as you’ve found it on your driveway begging for sandwiches

If you have an iPhone you can use the search function using the word “bear” and see if it finds the photo!

BirmaBrite · 21/07/2022 17:48

The missing bear statue is in a more natural pose Smile

FrankieStein403 · 21/07/2022 17:50

Not as big but this sad fellow appeared locally in a building works skip:

Oh Frankie. I hope you rescued the poor fellow

EveryFlightBeginsWithAFall · 21/07/2022 17:55

It's like the time the goose from goose fair went missing !

Definitely T Rexs atm! I've been pestering my mum to bagsy one for her garden 😄🦖.

I could have sworn the hares were there longer than a year, but it was pre covid so my memory may well be playing up 🙂.

PickAChew · 21/07/2022 17:55

He's posed like you've just interrupted him scratching his balls.

BillyBobBear · 21/07/2022 17:59

I will set the scene.
DBIL came in the driveway in his truck. Stopped dead. Didn't move for at least 3 minutes.

Got out of his truck. Scratched his head a few times. Looked around while DD and I were hiding pissing ourselves with laughter. Looked back at Billy. Looked him up and down.

Then gets his phone out. Can hear him shouting deaf as a post down the phone. He's in stitches 😂😂

Anyone playing "The Bare Necessities' loudly on a loop?

nopuppiesallowed · 21/07/2022 18:02

Perhaps wind an extra large nappy round his nether regions and hang a large sign around his neck saying 'Daddy Bear's On His Way'....

Noooo! when was this? 😮

Shannith · 21/07/2022 18:06

I wonder if you are near me. There's a garden center with a H nearish (autocorrect just tried to change that to bearish) and I recognise the recycling bin Smile

Shannith · 21/07/2022 18:08

I hope you are near me. I'm in a village near the garden centre beginning with H and am prepared to travel a village or two along to see the bear. <<checks village Facebook page>>

RedCardigan · 21/07/2022 18:13

Creepy AF! You def need to get him to phone the garden centre!

RedCardigan · 21/07/2022 18:14

Loving that someone is going to go and scout the garden centre to see if he’s missing 😂
