Received confirmation of my classification today. First class honours degree via the OU in Health & Social care.

Feeling pretty pleased with myself. I left school with zero GCSE’s. Just couldn’t even be bothered to turn up to the exams.

I am 32 with 3 kids who are all at secondary school. I work for Mind in a role that offers me plenty of autonomy and it’s very rewarding.

Just wanted to shout it from the rooftops as prior to starting my OU degree I used to have a reoccurring dream that I woke up in year 10. I would feel so happy at the “second chance” only to obviously wake up again.

Since enrolling on my course I never did have that reoccurring dream again. 🍾 🫧

That's awesome.
Well done.
Shows real commitment to study at that level as a mature student, compared to when you're 20 with no responsibilities.

firstly big congratulations,

then I would love to go back in time, although mine would be when I first started my joint honours university course so I can get excellent grades and redo the last 16+ years.
