Has anyone made ice tea that tastes good?

It's too hot for hot tea, but I am so used to drinking several cups a day I am getting a withdrawal headache. Rather than taking this opportunity to wean myself off and clean up my life, I want to replace the hot tea with ice tea.

But the stuff I made doesn't taste good, and Lidl is sold out of their (oversweet but drinkable) peach iced tea. Any advice?

Sweet tea is definitely regional in the US. I got served one by accident once and I couldn’t stop gagging and trying to spit out the taste. People who like sweet tea like sweet tea, but people who don’t really, really hate it. It’s not the same as tea with a touch of sugar, it’s like drinking syrup with a hint of tea flavor.

@chubbachub, it was likely the Monin one. I know they use Monin syrups for their pink lemonade (I've watched closely!)

I didn't know Sainsbury's cafes did fancy stuff like that - I assumed it would be shepherds pie and a scone. Must check them out.

I have no idea but it was delicious!

Might look up the syrups now and try. Will report back if its any good.

Worth a look. Im sure they have iced coffee too but it was a while ago.
