I have arranged for an ice cream van to visit my office

… and hand out free ice creams (well, not free, I’m paying obviously). I thought people might like it but I didn’t realise quite HOW excited they would get! I guess everyone just loves a flake 99 🤣

that sounds awesome. Our office was above a launderette, couldn't even get them to buy new water bottles.

On the flip side, we got an ice cream can for dd1s bd. Brian, the old boy that does our round is THE most miserable bugger in the world, dds bday was met with a million grunts and huffs.

We've had this today at the hospital that I work at.Can I just say that a 99 ice cream tasted absolutely divine on a 33 degrees hot ward.

Our headteacher has arranged this for students and staff tomorrow, think I'm more excited than the kids😂

We have booked an ice cream van tomorrow night for our leavers party. We did for my older daughters year as well and they all loved it.

@Delphigirl how many ppl was that for/how many ice creams?

My DH does this at his work occasionally. Everyone loves it.

our PTA took in ice lollies for the kids yesterday, I’ve never been greeted with more enthusiasm!

They kept a tally - not too sure, I just paid it without looking too closely - about 100 people in the building. I don’t think everyone had one. Whippy with flake was £2 but they were also doing slushies and elaborate knickerbocker glories etc. they were serving pretty solidly for 45m

Ha ha no I’m a long way from Doncaster! I don’t think I was the only one with the idea - the DM has an article about various other ice cream vans at work yesterday - and those aren’t me either!!
