? What’s your plan of action ? I’ve got meals that can be microwaved so no need for the oven to go on

I'm off to the office to enjoy the air con!

Same - the one perk to be had in the office. I hope to be shivering by 10.30! Not especially looking forward to the walk home but taking a hat, water and sunscreen with me.

We’ll have a high of 25.(north west).so day off work, going for a swim in the sea. Take the dog to a river for a swim. Picnic tonight. Work tomorrow in an office that is always cold.

Only 34 here today so not too ridiculous. I've put some water bottles in the freezer and filled ice cube trays. We have some ice lollies.

Cooked a chicken this morning at 7am so I don't have to put the oven on later, will just do salad and boiled potatoes.

I'm not looking forward to taking my daughter to swimming lessons later. She will be OK in the water but I'm boiling in the green house surrounding it every week, so today will be awful!

FFS climate change is not beautiful.

You deserve a fucking Darwin award.

Give over.

Those that deserve the Darwin award are those that think individuals can do something about it and those that fail to enjoy the benefits here and now.

The weather today is beautiful, and this heatwave is for two days, two.

In Scotland, far too hot. 26C. Not leaving the house! Eating ice lollies.

I'm a dog walker so I've cancelled all walks until Wednesday.

I've walked my own dog early but otherwise it's just business as usual. I've done some housework, sat in the pool, had lunch and it'll be back in the pool later!

I packed dc off to school with regular and frozen water bottles. All windows and curtains shut, will open later as sun moves

Dinner in the air fryer for next few days so no oven on.

Portable fan for downstairs, bigger fan for bedroom. Just sheets instead of duvets

Loft hatch will be open this evening.

Hot water just on this morning for dishes, don't want to put it on again this evening for baths so it will just be showers for everyone.

Chilled water in the fridge, plenty of ice in freezer. Lots of chopped up fruit ready in fridge for when dc home eg melon

Toddler and I alternating between short bursts out to the garden to play in the water tray in the sandpit, and flopping on the couch!

Uurgh wish there was an edit button I meant to say play in the water in the shade, I'm not taking toddler out in the sun!

I'm feeling smug in my 170 year old stone cottage. 33C outside 22.5C inside, downstairs. I hate to think what the temperature in the two attic bedrooms are, but DD is in the downstairs bedroom, 1m thick stone for the 3 external walls, 30cm thick stone for the internal wall, windows on 2 aspects and I bought DD a small double bed rather than a single, so I'm in with her, DH can fend for himself (sleep on the sofa downstairs).

For the garden this afternoon I have put DDs old tiny paddling pool inside a cotton teepee and wetted the tent.

Walked the dog (he swam a lot) at 730 today

Went paddling boarding/swimming in the lake near us at 915 back home by 1pm.

Well go swimming on my own again this evening once DD is in bed (same as yesterday).
