Am I sweating or weeing myself?

When I go out for a walk, I’ve noticed my underwear becomes very wet. I went out for a 30 min walk just now and my knickers are soaked. Is it the heat causing sweating or am I leaking?

I live in a hot climate and I'd bet that this is sweat. It's normal where I live for women to use panty liners all the time for that reason - they stop your underwear from getting wet from sweat.

Yep. I wear them them daily, I started in South East Asia and now I'm in Africa I've carried on. It really helps you to feel fresher.

Evening, everyone. Just to reassure you all, we've had a few reports on this thread. We know it's a subject occasionally close to trolls' hearts, but the OP has been here a number of years and is just on a name change as she says (and is a bit sweaty like the rest of us presumably). Obviously we can never 100% vouch for anyone but we can't see anything to worry us here.

I panicked about this, especially with a prolapse and menopause.

I left a pair of worn pants out overnight and did a sniff test in the morning. Not wee. From my kids wee'd on pants I know they'd have reeked by morning if it had been wee!

I think most people know the difference between sweating and pissing themselves.

I have had a similar concern to this OP! Definitely not just you.

I'm really intrigued by "CM" something or other that a poster mentioned up thread. I feel stuff leaking out sometimes but I'm (only) 99% sure it's not urine 😳

What age are you OP - this started for me in perimenopause. I found the vagisil powder helped.

Oh and if you Google it you will come across the lovely term 'swamp crotch' which is horrible but sums it up

Curiousturle · 17/07/2022 22:39

Thanks Pyaar I notice I get more discharge that's watery then thick before ovulation too

*Note to self: purchase panty liners 😳

I’ve always been quite sweaty (lucky me) but recently ‘crotch sweat’ has definitely become a thing, especially the last couple of weeks! I’m 38 and don’t think it’s perimenopause for me (although it could be of course) and when I googled it apparently it’s pretty common. Recommendations seemed to be talc powder on the thighs/ groin and as PP said using a stick deodorant (obviously not on the actual undercarriage!)

I hate it, and for the last few days have changed my knickers halfway through the day cos I hate that damp feeling. Mine is mainly at the front rather than underneath but it’s grim either way!

Berlinlover · 17/07/2022 22:48

Definitely sweat, the same thing happened to me walking to work today.

@Curiousturle make sure you add the word female or else you will end up with many comments on sweaty balls!
