Cooling Mattress Topper Recommendations or any other tips for peri menopause 😊

Does anyone have a tried and tested recommendation for a cooling mattress topper ? I’ve looked online and they all seem quite pricey so don’t want to waste money

I heat up like a radiator on full in the night but don’t particularly sweat such are the joys of peri menopause

all recommendations to get through this phase (as probably can tell I’m on HRT) are very welcome 😁

Devon Duvets' wool topper. Seriously, don't waste your money on anything else, they're the best for temperature regulation. They're expensive but worth every penny. Have bought them for my DC too (apparently one DC's housemate loved it so much, she's now bought one).

I use chillows. I find them uncomfortable under my head though so I wrap them in a pillowcase then lie on them for a while. So not a mattress topper, but does the job. I have a couple of them so when one has warmed up I swap it out for a cool one.

Watching this thread with interest.

I use chillows usually. I also use a waterproof sheet and then lie with a damp towel over me too when it's too warm.

Seconded. I'm on my third - ex got the first and I have treated myself to a new one after some years on the second

Definitely wool. Mine is from Baavet and is great. Check out their seconds section as well.

I’m in Australia and bought this one - worth every penny. I’ve had to take it off the bed this winter because it was making me too cold.

Wool.

I have a wool mattress (and other natural fibres), wool duvet, wool pillows, pure cotton bedding but I have a bamboo and cotton topper from Dunelm Mill.

HRTQueen · 17/07/2022 20:30

Thank you all. I always have cotton bedding

the gel ones must be like my cats cool mat that he hasn’t bothered laying on this past week 🙄

looks like I shall have to treat myself (thankful for Klarna)
