There are lots on interesting usernames and I often wonder what they mean.

Mine is from the Rivers of London series, skygarden Tower is a made up Tower block in London which focuses magic.

What does your username mean? (Obviously only it isn't outing).

I was called this when I was a baby by everyone and I love it

Even the 55 bit? Grin

MissFancyDay · 18/07/2022 02:06

Mine is a lovely character from Thomas Hardy's Under the Greenwood Tree. One of my favourite books.

Phoenixrising2020 · 18/07/2022 02:06

I will be my own hero, every year.

Mine is the name of a fictional ship that is one of the main settings for a favourite book of mine. The man in the brown suit by Agatha Christie.

Mine is also Agatha Christie inspired.

Lichensclerosus · 18/07/2022 03:31

Something that I suffer with on my underneath area and there's hardly any awareness about this condition

rubydoobydoo · 18/07/2022 03:40

I have a cat called Ruby and it's what I say when I'm talking silly to her!

JockTamsonsBairns · 18/07/2022 04:15

Mine is an old Scottish saying - "We're aw Jock Tamson's Bairns", meaning we're all the same. No person is better than another.

KalvinPhillipsBoots · 18/07/2022 04:17

Pretty self explanatory mine, I absolutely love him but those boots he wear were hideous!

ThatsRoughBuddy · 18/07/2022 04:27

Mine's the iconic reply Zuko gave when Sokka said his girlfriend had turned into the moon. 😆

RedRec · 18/07/2022 04:28

Mine is the local park in Coronation Street.

AceofPentacles · 18/07/2022 05:23

Mines a tarot card

StarlightLady · 18/07/2022 07:40

It was a sort of pet name mum used to call me as a toddler. Sister was Moonshine Girl!

I’m in my 40s now, ‘sister still calls me Star to this day.

Titsywoo · 18/07/2022 00:18

My grandad used to call people random nicknames. He was already developing dementia when DD was born and for some reason he called her this a few times. It tickled me and became my username after he died at the age of 103 seven years ago 🥰

That is a gorgeous reason for a mumsnet name.

Reference to an amusing scene in Succession.

My usernames always are in reference to something I've heard, seen, read or watched at the time I'm changing.

ponygirlcurtis · 18/07/2022 09:48

I think I have seen staygoldponyboy but not mrssodapopcurtis. I once kissed a boy solely because his surname was Curtis 😬 can't blame it on being a daft teen, was in my twenties at the time...

ponygirlcurtis · 18/07/2022 09:50

That was for @Libre2 , stoopid phone is playing up. Grrrr.

BearSoFair · 18/07/2022 09:55

Game of Thrones, 'The Bear And The Maiden Fair' is one of my favourite episodes and the song includes the line 'then she sang 'my bear, my bear so fair''

Nocaloriesinchocolate · 18/07/2022 10:31

Mine is wishful thinking

spiderlight · 18/07/2022 11:11

Mine is from Jenny Nimmo's beautiful book 'The Snow Spider', which I was given by a friend when I told him I was pregnant. There's a point in the book in which the main character, Gwyn, is described as 'reading by spiderlight' and it just struck me as a beautiful description - not a name, hence my lack of capitalisation. I'd signed up to Mumsnet purely to have a quick look at the baby name boards - I'd probably have capitalised the name if I'd known I would still be using it nearly 16 years later! 😳

StarlessSea123 · 18/07/2022 13:13

Mine is a book by Erin Morgenstern

MrsElm · 18/07/2022 13:16

I like to use a name from a book that has made an impact on me. I used to be IsolaPribby.

billydilly · 18/07/2022 13:25

Mine's from my favourite Nick Cave song, the one with all the swearing.

OhLookCriedNed · 18/07/2022 13:39

BetsysBeended410yrs · 17/07/2022 12:42

Mine is a line from from Friends- Joey talking about his new film “shutter Speed”

Mine is from Friends too. A line from Chandler's 'diary'.

icebearforpresident · 18/07/2022 13:53

Its a line from the cartoon We Bear Bears. I can’t remember exactly the context now but Ice Bear is doing something online and adds in #icebearforpresident. It made me laugh at the time, changed my username here and never changed it since.
