Bleach spot on navy top

I have a bleach spot on a linen navy top. Any ideas what I can do to disguise it?

Blue wide-nib marker pen

Crazycatlady83 · 16/07/2022 16:35

Dye it navy, this covering the bleached spot!

Or Dylon navy blue dye in the washing machine? (I’m just about to do the same 😊)

Tie dye using bleach, it would look very effective.

Dye it navy?I have often done this when I have ruined things or don’t like the colour. Sometimes seams are slightly different but generally have meant I have been able to wear it again.

I wasn’t sure if the Sue would cover the bleach spot ?

I’ve Sharpied one on the back of a coat, worked well

Lineala · 16/07/2022 16:54

Yes it does providing the bleach residue has been washed out. My husband dyed his canvas Levis as he had splashed them with bleach. Great job.

madamsapple · 16/07/2022 16:55

Marker pen. Very effective.

TimandGinger · 16/07/2022 17:00

You can buy dye pens. :-)

takeitandleaveit · 16/07/2022 17:08

As a short-term filler I used to raid the DC's felt tip pens.

Sharpies are great so long as you can find one to match your top.

I have a much loved linen tunic that's got a bleach spot on it. Dying it didn't work, for some bizarre reason so I use a sharpie.

Again, bizarrely, the sharpie keeps washing out yet, if I were to get a different coloured sharpie on my top, you can bet that the stain wouldn't come off.

I'm sure there's a law for this ...Sharpie's Law maybe?

Hmmm... that might make a good thread...?

Sharpies law 😂😂

TimandGinger · 16/07/2022 17:26

Dylon is the one I was thinking of but sure there’s others.

My emergency work trousers have a bleach stain on them. I have to sharpie them in every time I wear them. Note: don't do it while wearing said item, it leads to interesting questions if someone sees your legs that day or the next!!!
