What's stopping your fun this weekend?

What rubbish tasks do you have to do this weekend, when you'd rather be enjoying the sun? (Before it gets too hot next week!)

I've got covid so not going anywhere, plus have to prep for a job interview on Tuesday and fill out two more applications for Monday. Hating competency based forms with STAR format right now! Also have to make a cake for husbands birthday.

Covid! Day 9 and while I’ve felt much better each day ( Sunday was the worst!)
Some minor lingering symptoms but fine in myself. My lft has come up darker today and I’m back to being more sniffly nosed after having no cold symptoms for days. (Testing as need a negative for work)
I wouldn’t go out and spread this shit anyway.

So home for me

Yeah I'm on day 8 and have the darkest positive I've seen.

Symptoms not helping with getting the job apps done!

A huge pile of books to mark
Writing assessments
Lack of money

We have to go and buy a car. Neither of us has any interest in cars and just dreading the time it will take - not to mention the expense and the possibility of getting it wrong

MIL visiting.

A covid cake isn’t a very nice present 🤣

No covid here but my baby has crusty eyes because he got conjunctivitis from his first week at nursery. So will intermittently be wiping at him with saline solution while he screeches like a demon in protest.

I'm 8 months pregnant and have a grumpy 3 year old who's been up since 5...definitely no fun in this house!!

Sick 3 year old to look after and a house that looks like someone burgled us 😭

Kids birthday party....in a soft play for 2 hrs smack bang in the middle of the day ffs

Potty training. I need wine.

Covid for me. Thankfully managed the 6 hr drive home from holiday yesterday ( thank goodness we weren't abroad). I plan to do some tidying and cleaning- but will be taking frequent breaks.

Some of these are doozies! Soft play would be hell...

DH obsessing over fucking flies and trying to fit a fly screen to back door.

Am on day 10 and though I'm tons better than I was, I'm still coughing and tiring quickly. Won't be going further than to the bins today.

Covid… going to very slowly tidy the house, and make some rock buns for a little treat.

I dunno, our local soft play has air con so I'm seriously considering going tomorrow even though I'd normally never go near on a weekend!

We've got chickenpox in the house. 😣

Severe sleep deprivation - I thought it was jet lag at first, but I'm oversleeping after travelling east so it's not that... I could get in bed right now and sleep for 48 hours straight though.
Work - go away again in 3 days and I've got 2 weeks' worth of stuff to get ready
Job audition next month - stressing about it as I've only got 2/3 of material already studied. The rest probably won't be ready on time...

at the moment Iust feel slightly depressed and a little bit unwell.

However I have just recalled I have a bottle of very nice champagne tucked away and DH does not drink so that might cheer me up.

I need to catch up on washing. Thank fuck the Dcs finished school already so I might wash everything school related and get it ready for September.

I'm a week post covid and now I'm vomiting. Supposed to be going to a big celebration party tomorrow.
