If the rides etc are equal is there a park that is better for staying at?

I have no idea but which ones do you feel have equal rides?

Lindy2 · 15/07/2022 20:38

It depends what you're looking for.

Thorpe Park has the big rides.

Legoland is a good mixture of big and small rides.

Psultons Park is great for little ones or those that do like their rides too scary.

I think a bit more information about what you like is needed as well as where you are based. You're not going to want to fo Thorpe Park if you're up in Glasgow.

I’ve stayed at Alton Towers and it’s great!
I was in one of their cabins not the main hotel

Brideandprejudice · 15/07/2022 20:43

Alton towers is great because there are lots of overnight options. If you stay in the waterpark hotel you could do that on the next day.

We have stayed at the Alton towers hotel, it was lovely and in the evening they have entertainment on.

RandomUsernameHere · 15/07/2022 20:50

Alton Towers has much more choice of accommodation than any of the others

Cameronnorrieisabitofalright · 15/07/2022 20:52

We camped at Flamingoland.. They have a pool for guests!

Yodaisawally · 16/07/2022 06:23

Glamping at chessington was brilliant. My kids loved it.

Ollybob · 16/07/2022 06:33

The rides aren't really equal I'd say.
It goes from toddlers at legoland to small children at Chessington, then Alton towers for a good mix of rides, then Thorpe Park for the most thrill rides.
Thorpe Park only has small cabins, Chessington and legoland both have decent hots but Alton has several different hotels to choose from
Blackpool I believe has a hotel right on site too.
Not been to any of the other smaller parks for several years so cannot comment on those but I would check out rides first then look into accommodation as you can get a better deal staying offsite nearby sometimes.

(Uk parks) Alton Towers without question.

Choice of accommodation where you can use the facilities entertainment from them all regardless of where you are staying apart from Cbeebies Hotel (you can't enter this hotel unless you are staying there but if staying there can go to the other hotels).

The accommodation has different price levels.

Entertainment

Lots of restaurants/ bars

Crazy golf

Water Park, usually extra cost

You can enter the park nearer the hotel (near galactica).

Good customer service

We've stayed at many of theme park hotels, Alton Towers is easily the best.

@Ollybob i think you are right that the parks differ but there are some pretty challenging coasters and drop rides at Chessington. My dds loved it aged 9 and 10.

pinkfondu · 16/07/2022 07:59

Thank you very much, Alton Towers in the top spot then.
