Travelling with medication

DS2 takes regular tablets, not controlled drugs.

The NHS website says he should have a copy of his prescription with him. We never see a prescription they go to the chemist electronically. GP says thay can't give us a copy and it's not needed.

What do we do?

Go to the pharmacy that dispenses his medicines, and they may be able to print off a list of all the items he has, the list may have the pharmacy details on it so I guess it could be used as proof if anyone asked but I can't say that with certainty as I don't travel abroad.

Failing that could you pay the GP to write a letter confirming what medicines your son takes?

Sorry just managed to open the image you posted and see that the GP LETTER is mentioned

I just take the printed prescription list that the pharmacy gives you every time you pick up your medication?

Where are you travelling too? Some countries are pickier than others. I’ve never been asked for documents relating to medication apart from in Bahrain and Dubai.

Agree with PP about talking to the pharmacy for a print out of some sort. I also always take medication in the original boxes that have the pharmacy sticker and signature on it.
