Please help me remember the name of this place

Spent 20 mins googling trying to find this place which is in the UK and is a really high hill (with a long ridge possibly) . After one of the lockdowns loads of people claimed it and got stuck due to getting scared of the height.

I remember seeing lots of pics in paper and being shocked at children being up there and lots people sitting legs astride and others trying to overtake? Bugging me I can't remember, I wanted to have another look at photos.

Wasn't Snowdon was it? I know that they put warnings that it was too full at one point.

justabigdisco · 14/07/2022 21:44

Hellvellyn? Striding Edge?

3beesinmybonnet · 14/07/2022 21:47

Crib Goch?

tanstaafl · 14/07/2022 21:49

Tryfan, Snowdonia?

disneylover367 · 14/07/2022 21:49

Not Snowdon or Hellvellyn, it wasn't a 'serious' mountain as such, It was what looked like a hill basically. I think that's why people took young kids up and suddenly realised too late how high it was.

Maybe it was Crib Goch, although it definitely looks more than a hill! Would a 7/8 year old ever be taken up there?

Was it a beach? I remember this but seem to think it was a beach which was really tricky to get to
