So worried about sick 5 year old

DS1 (5) wasn’t feeling himself over the weekend and barely ate, so when he vomited in the night on Sunday I wasn’t too surprised.
But then he vomited constantly for hours, couldn’t keep even a drip of rehydration salts down. Called the GP Monday afternoon who sent him to A&E because he hadn’t done a wee for more than 12 hours.
Hospital managed to coax some fluid into him and a wee out of him so sent him homes after a few hours. By this time diarrhoea had set in too and temp was up and down.

Stopped vomiting by Tuesday eve but diarrhoea constant. Yellow and foamy (sorry - tmi). It’s now Thursday eve and the situation is still the same. He is drinking a little (as much as we can make him) and is doing wees but he has barely eaten a mouthful since Saturday - maybe one bite of toast and a couple of spoonfuls of cereal.

Spoke to the GP again today who has asked us to put in a stool sample but it could be a week before the results are back.

He’s pale, listless, and wants to be in bed all day. He’s constantly pooing himself and needing changing which he finds upsetting. Even if he runs he can’t make it to the toilet on time.

He’s just not himself and we can’t get him to eat anything. I got him to step on the scales today and he weighed 35lbs. He’s always been skinny but he’s definitely lost weight.

I know d&v bugs can be nasty but I’m just so worried.

It won't matter if he doesn't eat anything it's important for him to drink water or he will become very dehydrated
