Anyone been through Gatwick Airport this week? How bad is it?

Did it two weeks ago and there was no problem at all. Get there three hours before your flight.

DH did it yesterday - North Terminal, long haul airline. Check in queue moved quickly and security was fine with no need to remove anything from bag or remove watch. Delay on inbound flight so late boarding, pushed back late and missed take a off slot resulting in an hours delay on the tarmac. Think luggage must have made the connecting flight or I would have heard about it by now.

Yes Monday morning 5am ! Excellent , security queue maybe 10 mins . We were very surprised !
We had dropped our checked bag the night prior but even those queues didn’t look bad .

We flew out of Gatwick N on 26 June early morning. Bag drop was very quick. There was a long queue for security but it moved quite quickly. Flight left pretty much on time.

Arrived back on Sunday. Flight landed on time but there was a delay getting to the gate. Once at the gate there was a further delay waiting for airbridge/steps - probably about half an hour. Passport control was busy but moving. 2 hour wait for baggage to arrive.

Gatwick end was fine, very organised both ways the other end was chaos though
We flew out on the first flight and came back at lunchtime

Yes - with BA. It was much quicker to check in online then bag drop than using even the premium check in desks.
