Quick Contigo question — what should I buy?

I've seen them recommended on MN a lot, and there are sone good offers on Amazon prime day I am organised and not last minute at all.

Is it the West Loop people like? I was going to get that, then saw a good offer on the Luxe too, and I'm not sure which to get.

Answers before midnight would be much appreciated.

I've got the west loop.& would highly recommend it. Its amazing

We had West Loops - the paint came off because SOMEONE kept putting them in the dishwasher. They're great otherwise, especially for one handed opening. The Luxe would be too small for me, but the opening looks similar. I moved to a Chilli bottle which is less convenient but fits in bag better.

DH has a West Loop, I have a Luxe (the West Loop is too tall for the cupholder in my car which is in front of the gearstick). Both work the same way and keep the drink hot for a good hour or so.

I have a West Loop. The paint is coming off in several places after only a couple of weeks, and it definitely hasn't been in the dishwasher. Also, as a pp said, it's too tall for my car cupholder so I keep trapping my fingers between it and the gearstick. Other than that, it's brillant. No leaks, even when carried around in a handbag, drink stays warm for plenty long enough. Probably a little on the big side for my liking (it doesn't fit my coffee machine), but that's just personal preference.

Good to know that the Luxe is shorter @EspeciallyDeIighted, I might consider getting one. Is it roughly the same width?

500 ml does sound quite big actually, I hadn't realised. I usually use a Keep Cup which is only 340 ml. I want something that seals properly and is insulated though so I can stick it in m bag if necessary, so thought a Contigo would fit the bill.

I might try the smaller Luxe then I think. Just have to pick a colour now!

Yes, roughly. The Luxe is slightly wider at the bottom but straight whereas the West Loop is more curvy. Here they are next to each other.

Yes, @PolkadotsAndMoonbeams , the West Loop was bigger than I was expecting too. I read the specs, I just wasn't able to picture it in real life. It is much bigger than a Keep Cup (which I also have and don't get on with, leaks everywhere). What did you go for in the end?

I went for the smaller Luxe (which still looks quite big to be honest!) in Biscay Bay, which is a lovely turquoise colour.

I've given it a wash and I'm looking forward to trying it out!

Brilliant! I got my Luxe today. Annoyingly, it's still too big for my car cup holder - because it's wider at the base it doesn't go down far enough so still hits my fingers at the top. On the plus side, it's a really old car (so old that we play a competition where we see how many miles we can go/whether we can complete a whole journey without seeing an older one, we can go a go 20+ miles around the M25, generally) so when it eventually gives up the ghost, the next one will probably have a bigger cup holder as everyone else's seems to.

I have a very old contigo - around 10 years old and still going strong despite being dropped out of lorries etc. it’s not longer made, by the luxe is the closet in silver.
