What do you think happened to Jinny at Finmory

Just re read the Jinny books. Now I know where my desire to live in a large house in the Scottish hills comes from!

what do you think happened to Jinny when she grew up? And what happened to Ken?!

What a lovely thread title, it made my heart leap 🥰. I always wondered if she'd marry Ken, but equally thought she'd be perfectly happy alone. I can't imagine she'd ever leave Finmory, I think she'd find a way to fund her life there, maybe having gone to Uni to study art a kindly professor would set her up with a gallery where she could ship her artwork and it would sell for thousands and she'd never have to think about it.

She'd just drift over the hills happily, covered in mud and full of joy.

Yes! She would be a wild-haired, wild-hearted artist, painting horses and landscapes and riding over the hills to her heart's content. She and Ken would set up a rescue centre for horses and maybe combine it with some sort of art therapy, bringing together children and horses who needed each other, and she would live out her entire life at Finmory. Shantih, obviously, would live alongside her for her entire life, never growing old, and the day Jinny died she would gallop off across the hills and jump into the sky.

That just made my eyes leak a bit 💕

They wer such incredibly special books, weren't they? I re-read them when I was at home with my dad after my mum had died, and have kept them all to read again even though I almost know them by heart.
