Passport stress ...what do I do?

I apologise if this has been posted a million times.
I've just applied for a replacement passport as mine was lost.
It's 17 weeks till I travel and just terrified it won't get back in time.

If it gets to 10 weeks do I contact someone?
Does anyone know the process ?

I just replaced my passport online and it took 3 weeks from the day I filled it in to receiving the new one. I think you'll be fine.

Amdone123 · 13/07/2022 08:48

I think you'll be fine, too.

eltonlonng · 13/07/2022 08:49

Yeah I did mine online too.
Fingers crossed

It seems that people who apply now are fine. Its those who applied a couple of months ago stuck in the backlog that are having issues.

Well I joined a Facebook passport chaos page and that's gave me the fear ...reading all the horror stories
Il keep the faith

I applied online, sent my old passport back last Tuesday and I've had a notification that the new one is being delivered today. I think you'll be fine.

I hope you get it soon. I applied for my DD renewal passport at the beginning of May & have heard nothing. We go away next week but nothing I can do

eltonlonng · 13/07/2022 09:32

@Iwasfeelingepic I've read people going to passport office 48 hours before travel and getting it-as long as you can show your travelling

I have seen that, but I'm hoping we don't need it as we are only sailing to N.Ireland. I think it will depend on P&O, waiting for them to confirm if we need it.

Mine took three weeks in May

Caterina99 · 13/07/2022 14:40

We take the boat to Northern Ireland all the time from cairnryan and have never taken passports or been asked for them

DoctorMarten · 13/07/2022 15:43

I applied in May. Fuck all has happened. I'm so stressed.

FortonServices · 13/07/2022 16:26

Mine took 3 weeks. Straightforward renewal. Don't panic yet.

That's good to know. Thanks

I applied online on the 7Juky and received new one today. There is hope 😉
