Huge spiders already and it's only July!

I've noticed a few huge spiders around my home in the past week or so, usually I never see them until autumn. Has the heatwave driven them out of their hiding places? I have just woken up with one crawling on my face, jumped up screaming and woke everyone up 😥

Posted too soon. I threw the thing off me and then couldn't find it, while my partner kept saying I was imaging things and to go back to sleep. I eventually found the beast and it's gone now but there's absolutely no way I can go back to sleep. On the sofa, wide awake, feel sick and shakey. My cats are both sacked as it's supposed to be their job to keep the pests away. I have lived here for over 10 years now and have never seen so many as I have recently, I really hope its not going to be a thing now because I hate them😂

Please don't tell me I'm being ridiculous (I know I am) or that spiders are lovely (they're not to me). I didn't kill it, it's been put outside.

No you're not ridiculous! They are absolute monsters I hate them.

I got a nasty bite last summer from
One. Woke up feeling pain in my leg when I switched the light on there it was .. a massive bastard in my bed.

I would shut all the windows but DH would divorce me if I tried during this heat 😂

@highinthesky91 I'm glad I didn't get a bite, awful things. And people say they're more scared of us, well why are they climbing into bed and all over us 😥😥. Today will be a long day and I don't think I'll even be able to get into bed again tonight as I won't be able to stop thinking about it. I just don't know where they've l come from suddenly!
