I would like to start a fund me account to litigate against the Durham Passport Office. Is there anyone who would like to join me in a class action law suit?

What exactly are you planning on suing then for

xsquared · 13/07/2022 05:21

Have you waited longer than 10 weeks for your passport?

ChiselandBits · 13/07/2022 07:12

I know someone who works there. They are personally at breaking point and well aware of the problems the wait time is causing. Not sure exactly who or for what you'd be sue-ing?

Mangogogogo · 13/07/2022 07:51

Would help if you explained why?

or are you just looking for those who jump on the outrage bandwagons with no knowledge?

Carolw0205 · 15/07/2022 08:29

It has been 5 months since we applied, and the reason I would sue is that they are asking me for a long birth certificate when I already gave them my active passport and short birth certificate and marriage license and my son's birth certificate. I have had a passport since the 1980s. I live outside of the UK and now I can not even go to a close family member's funeral, because they refuse to give my passport back. There is a lot more to it, but they have treated me worse than an illegal stowaway. No, I do not want anyone to jump on the band wagon, I want them to do what is ethical, legal when it comes to me. If I have to pursue it legally, it will prevent them to doing this to any other BRITISH citizen. I am sorry for your friend being overworked. This office obviously cannot cope and needs someone to in charge with good organization skills that also supports there staff. That would not be Dr. Abi Tierney, who apparently is AWOL. I would suggest to your friend to find a better job. By the way, I never had any problems with the Peterborough Passport Office - maybe they should move some of the workload over there.

Not really sure that'd be grounds for suing really
Formal complaint yes but I cant see any lawyer taking that on
