I have lived in this house for about 12 years. My next door neighbour's child has constantly kicked footballs and tennis balls over into my garden. The tennis balls were thrown at my dog. He also used to throw pieces of ornamental slate from their front garden at the dog. I would find these items right at the bottom of my garden so I knew he was doing it.
I went on holiday to Tenerife and brought back a lizard for my house wall. He threw balls and the pieces of slate at it until he smashed it.
One day I caught him teasing the dog and throwing the slate at her, and I told him off about it. I realised exactly why all the slate was in my garden now. It must have been going on for ages.
I always chucked the balls back over the fence and anything else he threw, but
because I had told him off, the parents stopped speaking to me.
Now years later I have grandchildren and they play football in the garden. Every now and then their balls go over the fence into next door's garden. They never throw any of them back.
Dickheads
