There are several people near me with ridiculously noisy cars. The engines have been modified to make a high-pitched screeching sound, and the exhausts make that awful banging noise, like they are letting off fireworks as they go down the street. Because it's hot, we have to have the windows open, and they wake me up every morning at six. They seem to take their cars out for a spin before work. I can also hear them all evening, sometimes until after midnight. It's driving me insane.
