I've recently increased dosage this month to 2.5mg, in the last three weeks I have noticed swollen legs, extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, wheezing, stomach muscles seem to be trying to force air out of my lungs when laying down. Today I pottered in the garden, walked up and down the path twice and was gasping for breath, heart pounding and racing, took about half an hour sitting to get back to my normal.

I have phoned the doctor today who was meant to ring me back after speaking to the pharmacist, but they've not rung. The packet says not to stop taking them suddenly, I just wondered if anyone had any advice please.

I feel ok now, I'm fine if I'm just sitting. I also have fibromyalgia, and I'm also taking trazodone and amitriptyline.

Thanks in advance.

Not a pharmacist but just wanted to say there is still a chance the GP will phone. They do end up working long hours and running late, I’ve had one phone me at 8:30pm before now!

That said, it would be worth googling your local late night pharmacist and asking to speak to the pharmacist on duty, or phone 111 for advice.

Forgot to say, they're prescribed for high blood pressure.
