Any beading enthusiasts around? How do you straighten headpins?

I've got a new pack & they're screwed-up like a birds nest. How do you straighten yours?

If they are very soft, you can generally just pull them with one end in each thumb and forefinger
tougher ones might need nylon flat nosed pliers
really long ones, I sort of pull across the end of the workbench

but the real solution is to buy from a better supplier, because sending bent ones is naughty!

I haven't heard of those pliers so I'll have a look. My trouble is finding headpins long enough (minimum 7cm) in the colours I need. Do you recommend anywhere?

I misread that as beheadings! 😱

I really need new glasses.

I use my flat needle nose pliers. Just draw them along the length of the pin. It is a sad fact of jewelry making that the longer the pins, the more likely they are to be bent.

God I am tired. I read that initially as beheading.
