I have been referred for NHS sedation to have a tooth removed due to fear but I don’t know if I can wait that long as the pain is getting worse (have tried finding a private dentist who offers it but the waiting list is a month there too). I can get a normal private appointment quicker.
I’m getting sharp pains behind my eye, sinuses, ear and it’s radiating to other teeth (the teeth that are fine feel like they are cracking from the inside when it starts). If I just have the normal injections to numb the tooth and gums, will this stop the pain radiating further?
Any pressure on that side of my mouth sets it off. I am so scared that during removal, even if the tooth is numb, I’ll still get this severe pain in other places and I don’t know if I’ll be able to stay still and not wail.
