Promised a heatwave and my bloody washing is out. Potential for a big storm later?

It has been raining already in West London this afternoon.

confusedofengland · 12/07/2022 14:45

Please send it over to Essex! Everything here is so dry & brown/yellow, we desperately need some rain. I'll even forgo some dry washing if I have to!

stuntbubbles · 12/07/2022 14:46

Yes! For precisely two minutes in Forest Hill. My washing’s out and it’s dry again now. But those two minutes were bliss…

iwantavuvezela · 12/07/2022 15:17

Yodaisawally · 12/07/2022 15:50

About three drops only.

Kfjsjdbd · 12/07/2022 15:54

A few drops in Kingston. Desperate for a storm.

SnowyLamb · 12/07/2022 15:56

My weather app says it's raining here in Essex, but it's not!

PuckeredArseFace · 12/07/2022 15:57

SE has clouded over and feels slightly cooler, feels like rain is on the way
animals seem a bit happier too

lllllllllll · 12/07/2022 16:01

Only about six drops. I was doing the happy dance and then it stopped again!

IcedOatLatte · 12/07/2022 16:03

I'm not in London but my laptop icon said it was raining earlier, it was most definitely not but it is feeling like a storm could be brewing

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/07/2022 16:06

Some mid level instability, not really shown fully on the models.

Westfacing · 12/07/2022 16:07

A few big blobs around an hour ago!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/07/2022 16:07

And radar will have over shown rain as much of it evaporated before it hit the ground.

bigbluebus · 12/07/2022 16:16

There has been spots of rain here on and off all day. But I put my washing out - including towels - and it has dried.

Lonelycrab · 12/07/2022 16:31

Bring it this way please to Hampshire. Cloudy here but muggy af.

Davros · 12/07/2022 16:33

I've been in Richmond for most of today, didn't see any rain. I'm about to go home on the Ginger Line through Acton, Willesden, West Hampstead etc. I'll keep an eye out

Daisytomhope · 12/07/2022 16:35

Had some in Yorkshire this morning (big blobby rain), soon passed and my washing dryed again.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 12/07/2022 16:35

What?!

Not a drop in NE London, although the air is so thick a good shower would really help clear it.

Ontopofthesunset · 12/07/2022 16:37

It rained for about 5 minutes here in SW London (east part of Richmond borough).

Neverhot · 12/07/2022 16:37

On and off all day in West Midlands.

Madmog · 12/07/2022 16:38

We're on the edge of south west and had a shower an hour ago. Had to run out and get cushions off chairs and other things inside.

gogohmm · 12/07/2022 16:38

It's raining out west all over my washing!
