Audible - what are you listening to this summer?

I have 5 credits and 3 weeks off to fill over the summer.

I'm currently listening to another free KL Slater book which I'm quite enjoying but I'm struggling to build up a library to get excited about!

Lisa jewel books are really good. I've loved them. There's a new one coming out this summer. I also love Lianne moriarty. I'm interested to see what other people suggest as I'm similarly struggling to enjoy audible like I used to.

I’ve been listening to Orange is the new Black and I’m eyeing up Out of Orange for when I’ve finished.

I tend to listen to memoirs or history books so I’ve not long finished Five and I keep popping back to Pompeii by Mary Beard.

Everything I never told you
Frenchman's creek
The scapegoat
A tale for the time being
Us
The buried giant? (Read this years ago & still not sure what I think of it!)

The Bass Rick by Evie Wyld was good. And I liked Hamnett by Maggie O’Farrell too (sad though)

The Fever of the World - Phil Rickman. Great supernatural crime writer.

JD Kirk - Jack Logan and then the subsequent Hoon book, particularly as the narrator is amazing but the books really make me laugh too

SaltaKatten · 11/07/2022 21:30

Jodi Taylor : chronicles of st Mary's
Anything by Brandon Sanderson
Rivers of London
These all have excellent readers as well as being great books if you enjoy fantasy / time travel and similar.

I've got love & fury in my basket too, (Tyson Fury's wife's book)7. And Klara and the sun-Ishiguro is always interesting!

I like Lisa Jewel but wasn't keen on the narrator of the last one I downloaded (can't remember which one!)

The narrator really makes or breaks a book doesn't it?
