Things to do with primary age kiddos around West Sussex/Brighton

We're staying with family for a couple of weeks over summer near Brighton.

I've been before but don't know the area massively well, what would you recommend to do with primary age kids?

Any lovely beaches or days out that you'd recommend would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

For beaches, I’d suggest Littlehampton

West Beach the other side of Littlehampton is definitely worth a trip. There's a sandy beach, a cafe and quite often seals make an appearance. Take nets/buckets for beach safari.
Also recommend Out of Bounds in Rustington (bowling, climbing, ropes course, crazy golf)...you could spend the whole day there. Couple of nice cafes in East Preston round the corner (and a beach too).
Harbour Park in Littlehampton (its a mini fair, be sure to buy a wrist band, its much cheaper. Then take a ride on the pedalos on the lake behind Harbour Park).
Day trip to Arundel to the Wetland Centre
Drusillas Park is a good day out with small kids too.

There’s Climping as well and if you want to go a bit further than Littlehampton, the Witterings. You have to book the car park there though. Or there’s Chichester, if you fancy a trip to a town (city).
