Currently on Maternity - I’m hiding indoors with DS out of the heat. Hopefully he’ll have a nap soon and I can read another chapter of Unmumsy Mum. Got some laundry on the go and need to pop to Asda a bit later when DP gets back xxx

I'm trying to summon up the energy (physical and mental) to get out of bed and go to the gym. I'd like to point out I'm not being lazy - I worked yesterday and then got called back in overnight so I ended up working 08.30-16.30 and then 20.30-03.30 so I think I'm justified in having gone back to bed again after breakfast/lunch/whatever it was!

I'm snuggling into my newborn, so hard in this weather! Watching 90 day fiance whilst she snoozes.

I am getting together the gift I want to send when my little one moves to their new family. I have fostered them for a year and I am dreading them leaving me but they have an amazing future ahead of them with a wonderful family. This one is currently wrecking the toy box while we wait for Fosterling 2 to wake from their midday nap then we will head out into the garden and the paddling pool.

I'm going to sit here and melt, takeaway for dinner because I forgot to defrost the chicken and it will take hours. I'll melt some more and then when I'm good and knackered I'll be totally unable to sleep. Before anyone has a go at me for whinging about the hot weather, I shut my mouth all through winter to retain the right to do so!

I'm currently holding 3mo DS2 while he naps - we're both in our pants and sitting in front of a fan after an earlier attempt to put him in the sling ended up in tears! We popped out to the shops earlier before it got too hot, but even that was a bit much for the baby - he's been feeding more, which has aggravated his reflux. Hopefully he'll be happier when he wakes and I can get some lunch - I'm starving...

Will mostly be hunkering down in the house, but will pop out to get DS1 from nursery in the car later - otherwise DH will have to walk home with him and that's not fair on either of them in this heat.

Just rejigged the week's food plan to avoid turning on the oven...

I've been in from work about half an hour.

Taken dry washing off the line & put another load in. Tidied round & finished a couple of things I didn't have time for before work.

Plan is to make friendship bracelets for tomorrow, look for something for my Guides to do tomorrow (I thought last week might have stretched to two weeks 🙄) & a couple of minor sewing repairs later.

Hot dogs for tea & carry on with bracelets tonight, probably.

This morning I did nothing except water the sunflowers and open the paddling pool.

DS spent the morning at preschool (tomorrow is his last day, sob) and then we had lunch and watched Bluey when we got back. Well, he watched Bluey and I dozed off... He's now playing with his slime/gloop/sand that he got for his birthday, and going in and out of the garden. He was fishing bugs out of the paddling pool a minute ago. I'm currently in charge of passing him tools.

Going to get DD from school in an hour and I'm dreading both the walk and the mood she'll be in. She's 8, hot and exhausted after a long term. Not a good combo!
