Irish citizen applying for DBS

hoping there might be some Irish citizens living in the UK who can help advise. My niece arrived in London straight after Leaving Cert. She’s 18 and has been offered a job in a summer camp starting in two weeks. They said she needs to have DBS check done by next weekend. It’s a nightmare getting proof of address - she needs two forms of proof of address in London in addition to her Irish passport.

Her Monzo bank card MIGHT get here in time but still need one more. They won’t accept her GP registration letter. She’s had her National Insurance number ID meeting but the card hasn’t come yet and the DBS folk don’t accept the national insurance ID invite letter as proof.

I tried adding her to my water bill and council tax but they won’t send out a new statement.

Any ideas?

It's just a matter of providing them with the correct documentation i'm afraid. It's not them making the rules - there are certain documents that are acceptable and certain ones that aren't.

If you've added her to your water bill could you not just download a copy of the statement - you don't have to wait for them to send a paper one out.

Unfortunately the water bill is annual so the actual statement won’t be generated for months.
