Can't register a covid test on Gov website

It says the format of the test strip is incorrect. I've tried both typing it in and scanning the QR code. These are tests bought from Boots as we've run out of the free ones.

Anyone else have this problem?

I registered my lateral flow test on Friday no problem

It's all a bit of a farce. I agree with just getting her vaccinated at the start of August. It will save yourself a whole load of hassle and stress.

Technically you can't for 12 weeks after covid. However this is purely because you have immunity for a period of time so they dont want to waste vaccines. There are no side effect reasons why you can't have it. I know plenty of people who have had vaccines straight after covid and no side effects. If you hadn't of tested you wouldn't have known she has covid and the government say don't test under 18s! So you could wait till beginning of August and get her vaccinated.

No it’s not. It’s a safety issue as children have an increased risk of myocarditis if given a vaccine too soon after the infection

The info on gov website says children 5-11 can get a certificate of recovery if they’ve had an nhs PCR test. So I don’t think any sort of lateral flow is accepted? Your best bet is probably just test before you go which I think is acceptable for Spain

Doesn't make sense. Take her for vaccine ( with risk of complications), for an illness she has already had and survived and will have natural immunity from. No joined up thinking. ( By the powers that be)

You can't register private test results.

Does anyone bother to register tests any more?

I have to do this currently to visit a family member in residential care. I have to show the text confirmation before I can visit.

BlueBloodedBlue · 10/07/2022 13:42

Can you ask around friends/family to see if anyone has an NHS issued test and have her take another one which you can register?

bendmeoverbackwards · 10/07/2022 13:46

I’ve found an online private company that issues recovery certificates now. You just send them a picture of the positive test.
