Best hold-all/rucksack for scout camp

Help lovely mumsnetters!

My kids are going to scout camp soon and need a hold-all/rucksack/something practical to hold 5 days of clothes and all the other crap they need.

Can anyone recommend any they have that are easy to carry / easy to pack (although it’s all probably coming home in a bin bag!). I also have no idea on what size I need 😩

First check which outdoor stores offer a scout discount - most do.

If you think they will make use of it, for scouts, DofE etc it's worth buying a decent 50-60 litre rucksack. Ideally get it fitted properly in store.

If it may be a one-off, borrow a rucksack or take a hold-all they are able to carry themselves.

And yes, it will come home in a bin bag!
