A question for those of you who have downsized.

When you were house hunting for the smaller house, did you fall in love with it? Or was it a practical decision? We're looking to move from our family home, but I'm not feeling the love for anything I see.

Both really. We viewed houses that were practical in that they were smaller but also they were exciting new projects to use the space wisely etc. It's easier if you're downsizing and doing renovations as it feels more enticing to have a blank canvas even if it's smaller. But maybe looking for a nice smaller house and an amazing garden would suit you.

Yes - we found a much smaller version of the ones we’d lived in before. Only thing is now it’s too small….
