sorrry, they remain visible.

ZealAndArdour · 08/07/2022 12:20

Have you actually asked Mumsnet to delete the thread in question and explained why? I.E. the implications for you if it was seen by the parties involved?

I’ve requested a thread deletion before as I realised I’d probably said more than originally intended when responding to comments and they took it down. Or they may agree to redact the specific parts that might make it identifiable.

What used to happen was the thread would stay but all of your posts would say ‘message withdrawn’. No idea if that is still the case on the new platform

CredibilityProblem · 08/07/2022 13:02

If you just delete your account then no, your messages won't be deleted. You'd need to specifically ask MN to delete your entire posting history.

lentiIsoup · 08/07/2022 13:27

You can ask them to delete all of your posts. They have done that for people before.

AtillatheHun · 08/07/2022 13:28

Yes the great laqueen purge - so it’s possible but on request

This basically.

If MN won’t delete the thread in question just ask them to move it to 30 days only. That’s what I’ve previously done

Thanks all. They removed it anyway for me but noted about not deleting posts for future reference. Will head back now and try to remember how to spell my original username lol
