Can anyone remember what this ice lolly was called?

It was a Walls ice lolly it looked like a Twister, but instead of fruity ice it was strawberry and vanilla ice cream twisted around a chocolate ice cream core, maybe around in the 80s/90s.
I was buying ice cream in the park today and got a sudden flashback to these ice lollies that I used to enjoy and would love to know what they were called.

Is it the tongue twister one on the left of this picture?

The Dracula one! I can taste it now. Forgotten all about those.

Oh I absolutely loved those - had forgotten all about them!

Sherrystrull · 07/07/2022 22:10

Oh my gosh I'd forgotten them! I can remember the taste and texture!

BlackeyedSusan · 07/07/2022 22:11

Well I can see why I got give the lemon sparkles a lot. The cheapest on the board! My favourites were strawberry splits.

Squidwitch · 07/07/2022 22:15

Omg orange fruitie! Dreamed of those, pure OJ.. but always had lemonade sparkles, frog lol, or that weird cider one as half price..funny don't remember tongue twister at all..but then I always thought ice cream is ice cream, and lolly is lolly, and twisters/fabs were just not right

NannyR · 07/07/2022 22:18

Tongue twister!! That's the one, thank you.

I was just describing the Dracula ones (from that photo) to my kids yesterday!

WonderingWanda · 07/07/2022 22:37

Loved those and so the Two ball Screwball. I also really liked the pink funny feet ones.

DinasCopUniform · 07/07/2022 22:39

Omg I've GOT A FEAST IN THE FREEZER

Mellowyellow222 · 07/07/2022 22:40

Funny feat they were my favourite.

and the lime sauce in the screwball.

Has it been there since the 90's?!

I really want one now!

I was only allowed Sparkles as a child, I see they are the cheap option.

😂😂 It was definitely only bought last week, and I had completely forgotten about it. In fairness, Lemonade Sparkles were my favourite when I was a kid. I've tried R.Whites Lemonade lollies, but they're not the same.

supersonicginandtonic · 07/07/2022 22:49

I have seven siblings we were only allowed the bottom line on the board 🤣🙈

Latenightreader · 07/07/2022 22:52

I got really cross at a Walls ice cream freezer the other day because it had a picture of a twister and said something about ‘the original twister’. It wasn’t the original, that was a tongue twister and I’m sure this was called a tangle twister!

I was also only allowed sparkles (specifically lemonade flavour b3cause they didn’t stain), apart from at the swimming pool where I was allowed a BA Baracas lolly which was cola flavoured and shaped like him…

DinasCopUniform · 07/07/2022 22:54

A BA Baracus lolly! That's the most 80s thing I've ever heard! 🤣

LondonWolf · 07/07/2022 23:46

I loved lemonade sparkles. I would have chosen that every time even if it wasn't the cheapest. Ice lollies from the van we're such a treat weren't they?

100problems · 08/07/2022 17:13

I loved Lemonade Sparkles too. My DSis shoved the line to the window once, bought a LS and shoved it in her mouth, whereupon her lips froze. She freaked (llama) and DM had to unglue her with a warm flannel Grin

BertieBotts · 08/07/2022 17:16

There's a bit in the start of the first Harry Potter where they all go to Dudley's birthday party at the zoo and visit the ice cream truck and Harry comments that it wasn't all bad as they bought him a cheap lemon ice lolly Grin quite a sad thought really when you look from an adult's perspective!

CormoranStrike · 08/07/2022 17:21

Wasn’t there one that looked a bit like a feast but was toffee
flavoured?

Lord Toffingham, my favourite back in the day.

Daisychainsandglitter · 08/07/2022 21:24

I think I vaguely remember them. They sound lovely. I'm still partial to a twister nowadays.
Like PP we always got a sparkle or a mini milk as they were the cheapest. I quite liked the orange sparkle.
