What's this on my kids foot?

Hi

My 4 year old has this on his toe and is complaining it's sore. He is a picker though so it's possible he's aggravated it. I remember having one as a kid but can't remember what it's called

Is it a veruca? Wart?

Anyone know?

Also any tips on getting rid? Also have the most dramatic 4 year old ever so ideally something comes up as a quick fix!

Looks like a verruca to me, although a pharmacist will be able to verify that.

I removed a couple of verrucas quickly, cheaply and completely painlessly with the salicylic acid plasters. Not sure if they can be used of children, but your pharmacist will be able to advise. I don't think they work well on stubborn or deep set ones.

I think there is another train of thought that says they should be left if not causing problems in order for the body to mount its own defence? Covering whilst swimming etc. to avoid spreading.

Looks like a verruca to me, get some gel from the shop and treat it at home
