Normal things that gross you out.

Not sporn or gross habits. Just every day things.

Used teabags make me feel funny.

Bits of cooked egg on a fish slice/spatula is gross.

The corners of books when they're turned up.

Feet. I even hate the word. This time of year is the worst for it with people wearing sandals. No one seems to put socks or shoes on their toddlers and babies. I hate it especially toddlers when their feet get chubby and shapeless. It's horrible.

Also certain names and words make me feel ill.

Such are the joys of being autistic and having an overreaction to so many things.

What normal things disgust you?

I don't like it in cafes when the ketchup bottles are not clean

I hate using public toilets. When you have washed your hands and then have to open the door to leave.............

On the TV programme 'Four in a bed' when the people read what the others have said and they point at the scores with dirty fingernails. These people have just cooked a breakfast..............

I could go on.........

Not sure how to describe it but when people are eating and they half swallow (but not quite ) and the food is in the back of their throat but they speak an it makes their voice sound weird and alien . makes me angry 😂

also pulling out dry tampons 😭🤢

EverySockIsOdd · 08/07/2022 04:16

People sleeping in my bed.

The main one that comes to me is eggs especially fried when the white isn't 100% cooked and is still all stringy. Reminds me of discharge and makes me feel so sick.
I won't order fried eggs now unless it's over easy or well done.

Eggs in general are grim. That is a chicken period effectively. Why would you want to eat it?

Chicken ovulation technically

OldWivesTale · 08/07/2022 08:29

Baked beans and tomato ketchup. Especially around kids' faces

DaphneeBridgerton · 08/07/2022 08:32

Yoghurt or custard but only at other peoples houses

TBH, you can apply that thinking to lots of things we eat. Milk is bovine breast milk for example 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can't deal with yoghurt or blue cheese because my brain tells me they are 1) gone off milk and 2) mouldy. Which is ridiculous given I'm fine with ordinary cheese.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 08/07/2022 08:53

Potato shoots 😞

They do but the little buggers have them off/demand they are removed. Even I know this and I am not a mother!!!

Wishenpoof40 · 08/07/2022 09:13

I agree - I refer to these as snotty eggs

Wooden lollipop sticks.
The word “pelmet”.

How do you feel about 'pelt'?

guestusername · 08/07/2022 22:48

Subway shops smell of vomit 🤢

BarnacleNora · 09/07/2022 02:46

Anything tight on legs below the knee (so capri pants are fine). So leggings etc but the absolute worst are tights and anything made of Lycra and this isn't just on me (I can't wear them) but on other people. If I see people catch something on their tights or scratch their legs through them I get the shivers. If it's raining and I can see they're getting wet I get a really weird feeling like a mix between wanting to cry and throw up.

I'd bloody love to wear cool little skirts and dresses/tunics with tights and boots in the winter, maybe topped off with an artful scarf or two, be the boho babe I've always known is inside me but nope, stuck with boring old trousers and doomed to looking ever so slightly corporate at work or jeans at the weekend like a geography teacher on a field trip. Sigh.

Tabbouleh · 09/07/2022 03:27

Washing bits and pits with flannels.

mjf981 · 09/07/2022 05:27

Agree with cleaning up a pan with cold mashed potato in it. I did this this morning and was thinking how gross it was. And if left overnight to 'soak' (mine was) it starts to smell as well 😬

Musti · 09/07/2022 06:00

Lips that have had fillers in them. Artificially white teeth.
