What to wear to London Theater in hot weather?

I'm going to be in London this weekend and I will be going to two shows, I've no idea what to wear! Are the theaters air-conditioned or likely to be very hot? I will be at the Victoria Palace and The Coliseum. I don't plan on dressing up, I want to be comfortable.

You can wear whatever you're comfortable in. I doubt anyone will be dressed up. A lot of people, myself included, go straight from work.

There's no dress code really for London theatres. Just dress comfortably.

Mostly the theatres are very old buildings, built long before air conditioning was ever even heard of. Light layers to take on and off according to whether you are hot or cold would be best.

A bit like being on a plane - one minute it's very stuffy, the next the air con is blowing down your neck. Have a jacket/cardigan to go on/off.

Whatever you like, there is no dress code / dressing up any more. Most theatres don't have ac, I've worked on a few projects trying to get ac into some iconic theatres, it's a ball ache. However, most of them won't be stifling hot, they do have airflow, no windows into the auditorium to let heat in.
