He is like a floppy panicking fish on the end of a hook. This is his own party questioning him.

As has been said before, "For Gods Sake,
go".

It's fabulous. They're making him cut out all the buffooning.

Libertybear80 · 06/07/2022 16:13

He's got members of the 1922 committee due to go in to see him.

LastThingINeed22 · 06/07/2022 16:16

I feel sorry for him in a way.

No, he’s brought this on himself I think. For the good of the country and his party it’s time for him to go and give the next leader time to get his program in place ahead of the next election.

LadyKenya · 06/07/2022 16:18

No doubt he will try and lie his way through, as he always does.

Lesserspottedmama · 06/07/2022 16:24

Never liked him, didn’t vote for him, but honestly I despair at all the people cheering about this - what do you think will change? The whole system and gov is corrupt. Starmer and labour generally are a horrendous prospect, pretty much all the tories are gross. I was dismayed at Boris as PM and have nothing good to say about him except that lockdowns would have been even more ridiculously and hysterically overblown under a labour gov. I don’t know what the answers are but why people are getting excited about all the PM rats deserting a sinking ship is baffling to me.

AlternativelyWired · 06/07/2022 16:41

Good god. Just watching the live news on the guardian app and he's getting roasted. The shame of him being our PM.

Libertybear80 · 06/07/2022 16:43

He's a bafoon. He's always been a bafoon. It's a shame it's taken some voters this long to see it! Shame on them!

English isn’t my first language, what’s a “bafoon”? Mis-spelling of baboon?

SirChenjins · 06/07/2022 16:50

Buffoon - which sums him up perfectly

greenacrylicpaint · 06/07/2022 16:50

he was awful as london mayor.

he was terrifying as foreign secretary.

he is terrifyingly awful as pm.

he can't even speak properly. no complete sentences at all.

No mis spelling but it could be Grin
bafoon = an idiot

Libertybear80 · 06/07/2022 16:52

It's a cross between a baboon and a buffoon 🤣🤣

Yes it's a misspelling. It should be buffoon. I've always called him a bumbling idiot way back when he was dangling off a zipwire in 2012.

Love it....actually perfect

Andifin · 06/07/2022 16:58

What a grilling he’s getting. Those asking the questions are much more skilled than he is and are stopping his usual bluff and fluster.

greenacrylicpaint · 06/07/2022 16:59

it's an onomatopoeia.
buffoon is the sound of his bumbling word between his fragments of sentences.

ParanoidGynodroid · 06/07/2022 17:03

I couldn't bear to watching him being questioned by Chris Mason yesterday, nearly cringed myself inside out.
"So you lied, then?"
"Well, let me tell you how it was..."

Urgh, the man has no credibility left at all.

I agree, what exactly changes? Any future PM and MPs can behave in exactly the same way (or worse?) since the system is unchanged. The system is old and does not evolve or adapt to new needs.

Thank you for the laugh, it's just what I needed this afternoon.
