If you have a smart meter, how much electricity are you using per day?

I have been trying to be very careful with electricity usage since the price hike. I live alone yet I'm still using £5 per day or thereabout. Is this more or less than other people living alone? I am doing two laundry loads a week, hardly using my tumble dryer, and generally trying to be careful. So how am I still using £5? Or is that not much compared to others?

About £5 per day and we have a hot tub.

also solar panels that only get direct sun for 8 hours a day.

It’s probably easier in KWH aswell as everyone’S]s tariffs are different…

yesterday elec was £2.54 (inclu 30p standing charge) 12.34kwh
gas was 0.60p (incl 15p standing charge) 11.40kwh

we are on a fixed tariff, 4 bed house, 2 adults, 3 dc (1 adult dc) washing machine on daily, tumble dryer too. WFH this week as well for both of us due to covid.

And an immersion heater. Small 2 bed bungalow. 2 DC and two adults

@IRememberXanadu it’s the price of your tariff, mine is half of yours…. Elec is just expensive at the moment

WingBingo · 06/07/2022 18:09

Which is 18kw btw.

End terrace, single skin construction, 2 adults WFH, 2 primary kids. 6-8 loads of washing a week, dishwasher twice a day.

usually around £3. More if we need the drier (rare recently), but it’s a heat pump one and costs about £1 to dry 3 loads at the moment.

I'm not on a smart meter but using approx £6 a day on a pay as you go meter. There are four of us and currently two of my children are home during the day. One has just finished school, the other does shifts including night shifts. All girls so lots of washing machine and shower usage and various TV's and computers.
