Would you allow your nearly 8 year old go to see the new Thor film, obviously with a parent.

DC has watch all the avenger movies and other Thor films.

Everyone is different what I do when unsure is go on internet movie database - they have parental guides.

JonSnowedUnder · 06/07/2022 14:36

If they've watched all the other Marvel movies I don't see why the new Thor would be any different?

ScarlettOHaraHamiltonKennedyButler · 06/07/2022 14:41

Yes my DS is 9 and has seen all of the others so he will see this one too. I would happily have taken him at 7/8. Every child is different though and you know your DC best.

I'm taking my just turned 8 year old tomorrow he's watched them all and I even took him to see the second Dr Strange when it came out. He likes the films & thinks they are good fun. I always tell him that if he thinks it's scary in any way we can leave straight away.

keeprunningupthathill · 06/07/2022 19:29

Yes probably, if I could watch it too!

Jules912 · 06/07/2022 19:32

At 7/8 I watched them first before letting DC watch them, but possibly I was over cautious as never found one I wouldn't let him.

Jules912 · 06/07/2022 19:32

Obviously this is less good for going to the cinema as you have to go twice.

BiologicalRealist · 06/07/2022 19:33

If they have already seen Multiverse of Madness I suspect this one will be a walk in the park

Anxiernie · 06/07/2022 19:35

My DD is 6 and has watched Doctor Strange, she didn't enjoy the normal parts, only the fighting and action. I would take her to see Thor at 8.

skgnome · 06/07/2022 19:35

If he has watched the rest I don’t see why not
have not watched it, but from the marketing looks more fun than other movies
if in doubt check IMD and the British Board classification, see why it’s considered a 12A

scrivette · 06/07/2022 19:36

I will let my 7 year old watch it as he has watched all of the other films and enjoyed them.

MiseryWIthAStent · 07/07/2022 15:01

Yeh. We all like the avengers in our house.

SheepingStandingUp · 07/07/2022 15:03

I'd say of he's seen Dr Strange newest movie that pretty dark, then ctgeres unlikely to be anything in Thor to shock him.

But personally I wouldn't, because I know my child

Sleepthief · 07/07/2022 15:04

Check out common sense media www.commonsensemedia.org

But yes, I let my 8yo watch any and all avengers movies (although he is son no.4 so not necessarily totally representative)
