Once in a lifetime souvenirs

Do you have any souvenirs that you'd never get the opportunity to get again?

We took DD to her first ever gig on Friday, we had pitch tickets to see Ed Sheeran at Wembley. The staff were so nice and really helpful. When we walked through the turnstile they asked us how old she was and when we said 12 someone personally walked us to a good spot to stand on the pitch, right next to the barrier around the backing singers stage. They said we couldn't put her on our shoulders but she could sit on the barrier when Ed came on, so she had a cracking view over the tops of everyone's heads!

One of the security men inside the barrier round the stage was absolutely lovely, he whispered in DDs ear and told her who the secret guest singer was (Stormzy) and told her that out of 92k visitors, she was the only one who knew who it was. He took a photo of the set list on her phone for her, he got the backing singers to have a photo with her and right at the very end, he whipped off the actual set list from the stage and gave it to her! He said we can take pictures, show people etc but must never put it on social media cos it's definitely not something we should have 😁 All in all she had a fantastic night and will probably treasure that set list forever. No matter how many concerts she goes to I doubt she'd be so lucky to get that sort of treatment and souvenir again!

To be fair, the guy said don't put it on social media because you're not meant to have it - so what's this then? You've said what you've got, and the day/venue of the gig, so if someone's going to get in trouble for it, they will now anyway..

I've seen people being given the set lists at a lot of concerts so I think it's unlikely that he'll get in trouble over that.

Why did you tell us if it wasn't meant to be on social media!!

That's lovely.

I'm also laughing at "must never put it on social media" though 😂

Well he said don't post pictures of it online...

Yes I dare say the Wembley officials go through mumsnet with a fine tooth comb.
Honestly....
That was a lovely add on to your DD's day op. So nice.

Burgess of the charlatans wrote me a lovely message about fig rolls on a poster once (Because we had had some Twitter banter about fig rolls earlier and he actually remembered it!) made my life. I was 37 at the time Grin
