Gove, Patel and Rees-Smug (well, and Nadine Dorries but surely things aren't that desperate yet) are pretty much the only BJ supporters left and we all know what Gove's loyalty is worth. I'm sure he's genuinely convinced that he can become PM one day and will knife BJ in the back at an opportune moment. Maybe it would be a good thing if Gove became the next leader. I can't think of a better way to ensure the Tories lose the next election. Even BJ has his supporters amongst the public whereas Gove seems to be universally reviled.

He's not my favourite person and I'm not a Tory but I do despair how cut throat politics are and how quickly they turn on their leader.

As I said he's not my favourite PM - he did good stuff during covid and Brexit but also has an absence of ethics in other matters. I'm not disappointed he's gone but they are all so weasily !!!
