Is 16 year old classed as fully vaccinated for travel to France?

I'm trying to make sense of Covid rules for entering France at the end of this month. Both DH and I have had 3 vaccinations so we are fully vaccinated. DD is under 12 so doesn't need proof but I can't work out what is classed as fully vaccinated for 12-18 year olds. Is two vaccinations enough? I've looked at both the UK Gov site and French Consulate but it's not very clear.

I thought you don't need to be vaccinated anymore to enter France? A friend of mine went to EuroDisney at half term & isn't vaccinated at all & her DH is only partially vaccinated. They just had to do Covid tests before entering.

Yes, if you're not vaccinated then you have to test. Ideally I want to avoid that so hoping DS is classed as fully vaccinated. The websites are really clear about over 18s and under 12s but really vague about 12-17 year olds.

From looking at the info only age 18+ need a booster to be counted as fully vaccinated

@dementedpixie so you are reading the info the same as me. As long as DS has had 2 vaccinations he's classed as fully vaccinated?

Out of interest, do we also have to complete passenger locator forms?

I agree with dementedpixie 12-18 only need 2 vaccines to be classed as fully vaccinated for entry to France

Thanks for the confirmation. That's what I thought but the guidance isn't very explicit.

My friend is there now with a 12 and 15 year old and they have had 2 vaccines, no booster/

I think it has to be less than 9 months since gheir last jab, I'm getting one to have a booster and the younger one only had his 2nd 6 months ago. Too much stress though isn't it!

Only for age 18+
Under 18s are ok with just 2 injections. Under 16s aren't eligible for a booster anyway
