Bulky uterus and very poor endometrial-myometrial interface on scan

Can anyone shed any light on what this means? Google is no help.

Ultrasound scan, normal shaped uterus, but bulky. Very poor endometrial-myometrial interface meaning it was impossible to assess endometrial thickness.

Two smallish fibroids were found, but thought to be unrelated to heavy bleeding.

Adenomyosis? What did the consultant say, or are you waiting for an appointment to see them?

@MissWired I'm not seeing a consultant, the GP has noted the fibroids, but I don't think anything else is being arranged. Thank you.

You need to discuss the results with a specialist, not the GP. Get referred back to a gynaecologist, you have to push and push with the NHS.

Get referred to the gynae department.

I'm laying here - feet up - after a hysterectomy for an extremely bulky uterus. Probably adenomyosis but it can only confirmed via hysterectomy.

If you've finished your family id recommend having it done. I'm a week post surgery and my stomach feels much better already.
